Youthood

I am delighted to share that a portrait I made of our daughter as part of the series “Already/Not Yet,” was selected for Life Framer’s digital exhibition Youthood ! It’s a wonderful round-up of 20 compelling images that explore various themes and experiences of youth. Please visit Life Framer’s website to view the complete collection of selected images, or visit Life Framer on Instagram: @life_framer.

Quiet Landscape

This month, I am happy to share that I have a print from my Already Not Yet series in a group show at PhotoPlace Gallery in Middlebury, VT! The Quiet Landscape exhibition is a beautiful collection of arresting images from the natural world, and it’s an honor to be included in this group of talented image-makers. If you are in the area, please stop by to see the show, open from May 26 - June 18, in person. If not, you can see the entire collection on the PhotoPlace website. You can also order a copy of the exhibition catalogue, which is an elegant edit of the selected images. Many thanks to PhotoPlace, and to the Quiet Landscape jurors Jacob and Alissa Hessler, for this opportunity.

"Mouthpieces" by Eric Maierson

Our good friend Eric Maierson is a very talented writer, editor, and producer. He’s done both fiction and non-fiction narrative as well as articles, but Eric also writes evocative, emotionally compelling theater. So I was excited when Eric reached out about “Mouthpieces,” a series of short monologues he’s written, directed, recorded, and paired with images. Eric kindly asked if he could use one of my recent Polaroids alongside his latest monologue, and I was honored to participate! You can listen to the full series here, and scroll through the many beautiful images contributed by other talented visual artists. You can also find the “Mouthpieces” series on Apple Podcasts and SoundCloud.

New Morning, New Day

Maine magazine is a staple publication for those who love the state, and I’ve long been a fan of their thoughtfully-styled stories and curated features. This month, I have the incredible honor to join 24 other emerging and established Maine-based artists featured in their September 2021 issue! The juried exhibition New Morning, New Day is full of work from artists creating in a variety of mediums, from painting to sculpture to textiles, and it’s a genuine privilege to be included in such a talented group. Pick up a copy in stores, or check out the online version of the feature to see some of the truly beautiful contemporary art coming out of Maine!
